Ahhh, the beauty of spring. The flowers boom, as the winds gently caress and nudge the multitude of scents into the willing noses of the masses. The sun shines, illuminating the damage caused by winter, and soon enough the sun brings the dead back to life. The birds are more active now, pecking here and there, fighting for scraps of food. The squirrels once so hard to see in the winter, now dance the dance of life. Running this way and that. Aye, spring is beautiful indeed.
However, let not my poetic ramblings of spring move us into a state of complacency. It means war as well, as ever in Seattle, the rains come. And it rains hard. Not the usual fine, misty spray of the advertised kind. No, it falls unto you seemingly with a vengeance, soaking hair and sock alike. Bathing a person unready for this sort of moisture. There is beauty in that, I however left my years of appreciating rain far behind, back when rain meant a break from the hectic life of socializing, working and living. Not as it is here, a constant companion, bringer of life and sorrow, destroying makeup and ruining hairdos. My first days of the summer quarter on the other hand uplifted me more than any rain could bring me down. The days I spend in Drama 101? Simply awesome this first week. I feel that this class could be one of those classes I'll actually enjoy, even with the threat of impending papers and projects and let's not forget, exams. Likewise can be said for SISSE 221, an awesome class if you are looking to know the western perspective on Southeast Asia. Hailing from the 'Suvarnabhumi' myself, I cannot wait to see the differences in attitudes towards both colonials and natives alike. English 111 however, is a class I'll have to watch closely. The readings are complex, requiring as my lecturer said 'Proactive reading' and the active participation of the reader in asking questions to understand plot, narrative, the dynamics of the protagonist(s) to other characters.
All in all, I can't wait. Summer is the time of renewal. A phase of my life is already dying, a new phase, one I will gladly share with my brothers, one of gentlemanly conduct, one of values I never though I needed. I plan to rock the summer. Bring on the rain, Seattle. The sun and fire keeps me warm and dry. Chiaw for now!!!

Video Games
Lana Del Rey wrote a song about this. Cazzette remixed this into it's awesomeness. Ever wondered just what you need to get through the day? That's right, shooting up monsters, collecting butterflies, running the lives of simulated people, creating and building a city or even guiding a civilization into an unstoppable force. All this and more can be done with the right game. Just what makes video games so awesome? It's the fact that it lets you do something you never could in real life. Want to save the galaxy? Play Mass Effect. Want to start a nuclear war? There's Civilization. Want to live though a nuclear fallout? There's the Fallout games. Video games have had a profound impact on us all. It pushes us into a world unlike any other, so whether you're living out your days as the Dragonborn or busy slicing up Jedi and Sith alike. It's video games and here's hoping players all over the world will be logging time in the infinite possibilities and worlds of bits and bytes. Have fun!!!!!

My first of many firsts post
In dealing with life, many of us restart from where we already are. Take this blog for instance, it's a restart of the numerous blogs I already have. Things will change though. This will be updated once a week at least. It's time to hone my writing skills ;)
